Michał Marczenko’s research topics are the properties and phase structure of strongly interacting Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD) matter under extreme conditions, and their implications for compact stars and heavy-ion collisions. He explores the QCD phase diagram at high temperature and density, where deconfinement and chiral symmetry restoration are expected to emerge. Based on effective approaches to QCD and thermodynamic modeling, he aims to characterize the behavior of quark and hadronic degrees of freedom, as well as their manifestations and critical phenomena in strongly interacting matter.
研究のここが好き!
What I find most fascinating in physics is how complex phenomena can emerge from simple fundamental principles. I am particularly interested in understanding the behavior of matter under extreme conditions, where new forms and phases of matter can appear.
