WPI-SKCM², a World Premier International Research Center (WPI) at Hiroshima University, is pioneering the development of a new class of artificial materials known as Knotted Chiral Meta Matter (KCM²). Through this groundbreaking research, we strive to shape the future of science and innovation.
Our mission is centered on two key objectives:
-
1. Creating Revolutionary Materials to Solve Global ChallengesBy developing entirely new materials that transcend the conventional laws of nature, we aim to achieve breakthroughs in addressing global challenges such as energy sustainability and environmental transformation.
-
2. Nurturing Outstanding Young Researchers from Around the World to Become the Next Generation of Scientific LeadersBy removing barriers across disciplines and national borders, we foster talented researchers who will lead the next generation of science on the global stage.
Innovation born from fundamental research does not become reality overnight. Yet a single discovery made today has the potential to protect our planet decades from now and serve as a lasting foundation for a more sustainable society.
To maintain an open and creative research environment where young scientists can pursue bold ideas with confidence, support from the wider community is essential. While government funding provides an important foundation for our research, the generous contributions of individuals and organizations weho share our vision of building a bettr future are indispensable.
A donation to WPI-SKCM² is investment in the future of science and society. Together, we can harness the power of science to build a more sustainable and prosperous tomorrow. We sincerely appreciate your generous support.
