Date: November 19 (Thu.)–20 (Fri.), 2026
Time: Day 1: 10:20–20:00 / Day 2: 9:00–12:25
Venue: Seminar Room, 2F, Science Knot
Language: Japanese

This workshop focuses on the concept of “freely controlling the structure of electromagnetic fields to create new degrees of freedom in their interactions with matter.”
Beyond controlling intensity and wavelength, advances in designing the spatial structure of electromagnetic fields—including their phase, polarization, angular momentum, and spatial distribution—are opening up new possibilities for controlling and measuring interactions with matter.
The workshop will bring together discussions across a wide range of approaches, from mechanisms for generating structured electromagnetic fields, such as optical vortices and plasmonic fields, to their applications in nanoscale and surface measurements. Topics will span diverse techniques, including synchrotron radiation, lasers, STM/AFM, and nonlinear optics.
Those wishing to participate are invited to register using the form below.
