2.My research interests are centered on liquid crystals, soft matter physics, and nanostructured functional materials. I am particularly interested in electro-optic properties, colloidal interactions, surface anchoring phenomena, and nanoparticle–liquid crystal coupled systems. My current focus includes understanding the behavior of colloidal nanofibers that act as liquid crystals and polymer-stabilized liquid crystal systems for potential photonic and smart material applications.

Bio

I am a first-year PhD student in at Hiroshima University working in the field of liquid crystals and soft condensed matter material science. My research focuses on colloidal and nanostructured liquid crystal systems, particularly their electro-optic behavior, interfacial phenomena, and applications in advanced functional materials. My broader interest lies in understanding complex self-assembly and responsive optical materials for future photonic technologies.

What I like about my science
What fascinates me most about science is its ability to explain complex natural phenomena through simple underlying principles. I especially enjoy how physics connects fundamental concepts with real-world applications, from liquid crystal displays to smart and adaptive materials.
