My research focus has been on structured light, including topological structured light and highly focused structured light. For topological structured light, I have contributed to theoretical aspects of optical skyrmions, and more recently also optical Hopfions, and other hybrid modes. I have also extended the structure to light-matter interactions, specifically atom storage.

What I like about my science
Always the elegance of clean mathematical structures, and it is amazing to see how theory and experiments verify each other.
