Winter School 2025

Mirai Crea, Hiroshima University Higashi-Hiroshima Campus and Zoom

Dates: Monday – Friday, December 1–5, 2025

Overview:
This year’s Winter School will train graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, and early-career professionals to deepen their understanding of our institute’s interdisciplinary research paradigm, Knotted Chiral Meta Matter (WPI-SKCM²).

Participants will gain a strong foundation in knot topology and chirality through introductory tutorials spanning our Fusion Project research disciplines. The program also emphasizes active, project-based learning: participants will present their own work and then collaborate in small groups to propose new cross-disciplinary research projects. The Winter School will additionally feature an excursion, reception, and Diversity Symposium, providing opportunities for learning, exchange, and networking.

This year’s Winter School consists of four key components: tutorial lectures, group workshops for fusion projects, a team-building excursion, and a Diversity Symposium.
