Achiral hard bananas assemble double-twist skyrmions and blue phases

We are pleased to announce WPI-SKCM2 PI Marjolein Dijkstra, has published “Achiral hard bananas assemble double-twist skyrmions and blue phases” in Nature. This research is also featured in the press release and latest issue of HU Update, January 2025.

Dijkstra and her colleagues provide valuable insight into stabilizing skyrmion lattices and blue phases, with potential applications in photonics and memory devices.
