Dr. Nasrin’s research focuses on understanding how topology and alignment influence stress propagation and failure in cytoskeletal assemblies using a hybrid liquid crystal-based approach. The work was carried out within the interdisciplinary research environment of WPI-SKCM².

Regarding the award, Dr. Nasrin commented:

“I aim to quantify how topology and alignment govern stress propagation and failure in cytoskeletal assemblies using a hybrid liquid crystal-based approach. This approach has been made possible by the research environment at WPI-SKCM². Receiving an award for this early-stage work is not only a recognition of its acceptance within the scientific community but also a strong motivation for me to continue developing this project further.”
