PI Katsuya Inoue, has published “Element-selective observation of the orbital angular momentum of Fe and Co in the noncentrosymmetric magnets Fe1−𝑥⁢Co𝑥⁢Si (𝑥=0.25 and 0.50)” in APS

We are pleased to announce WPI-SKCM2 PI Katsuya Inoue, has published “Element-selective observation of the orbital angular momentum of Fe and Co in the noncentrosymmetric magnets Fe1−𝑥⁢Co𝑥⁢Si (𝑥=0.25 and 0.50)” in APS.

Inoue and his colleagues conducted soft x-ray magnetic circular dichroism spectroscopy to reveal that the Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction in the intermetallic compound Fe1−𝑥⁢Co𝑥⁢Si originates from the orbital angular momentum of Fe.
