WPI-SKCM² Opens Applications for Postdoctoral Fellows
Hiroshima University’s International Institute for Sustainability with Knotted Chiral Meta Matter (WPI-SKCM2) has announced the opening of applications for Postdoctoral Fellow positions. Prospective applicants from across a spectrum of disciplines who have an interest in conducting research on topics related to the center, such as metamaterials, knot theory, topological solitons, chirality, soft matter, magnets, colloids, polymers, quantum materials, biomaterials, proteins, active matter, origins of life, energy efficiency and others are encouraged to apply.
The research positions typically last for three years, with an option to extend for another two years, subject to performance and funding. As a part of their tenure, successful candidates will be mentored by an international team of experts in related disciplines. Opportunities exist for collaboration with researchers located at WPI-SKCM2 nodes across the globe, including Tokyo Tech, MIT, RIKEN, Cambridge University, and CU-Boulder. Additional funding will be provided for international travel to WPI-SKCM2 nodes, conferences, and summer & winter schools.
Interested candidates are requested to submit their applications at AcademicJobsOnline.org. The application package should include a cover letter, CV, a list of publications, and references. While the application cycle will remain open until all positions are filled, candidates are encouraged to submit their applications by August 30, 2023, for optimum consideration.
