Bio
During my undergraduate studies in China, I joined a research laboratory specializing in crystalline materials, where I studied phase transitions in organic–inorganic hybrid crystals. As a result, I became familiar with techniques related to crystals, such as X-ray diffraction. After moving to Japan for my PhD study, my research shifted to helical peptides and porous crystals formed by peptide, which allowed me to gain experience in organic synthesis, particularly the synthesis of amide bonds.

What I like about my science
I am always looking for elements of dynamism and disorder within structured, ordered materials, just as I hope to find more ups and downs in the unchanging routine of daily life.
