Gen Tatara (RIKEN): Spin transport effects induced by supercurrent in SNS junction

We study theoretically the spin transport induced by superconductivity in a SNS junction based on a microscopic approach. The supercurrent driven by phase of the superconductor is formulated diagrammatically. The spin Hall effect due to the equilibrium supercurrent is investigated in detail and effects of spin relaxation and dissipation on the emergence of non-equilibirium spin accumulation are discussed.
