Bohdan Senyuk (WPI-SKCM²) Collective knotted motion of colloids and magnetotactic live active matter
Hybrid, VBL 204 & Zoom
Knots are ubiquitous. As a sailor, a hiker, an artist or just a random
person, we are going to come across knots in some form almost
everywhere. Fascination by knots also span across many fields of
scientific research from mathematical theory to technological
applications. In this presentation, I will discuss electric field
induced collective knotted motion of nanocolloids in a chiral matter
and dynamic behavior of magnetotactic bacteria in an isotropic liquid
and a lyotropic nematic.
