Advanced Electron Microscopy Facility Opens in the Science Knot Building

The International Institute for Sustainability with Knotted Chiral Meta Matter (WPI-SKCM²) at Hiroshima University is pleased to announce the establishment of a new shared-use facility equipped with an advanced analytical electron microscope (TEM/STEM), a highly sought-after instrument in both academia and industry. The facility will be available to researchers and companies both within and outside the university.

The facility features the state-of-the-art analytical electron microscope NEOARM, equipped with a double collector system. It is expected to support a wide range of research and analytical needs in fields such as materials science, semiconductors, and nanotechnology.

To commemorate the opening of the facility, an opening ceremony will be held on June 5, 2026.
